We create. We adapt. We keep going.

When the world paused, we found new ways to move — producing films, building online courses, and empowering storytellers everywhere.

We didn’t stop.
We evolved.

Legacy in Motion

Pelikulove was created as a living time capsule — a space that preserves journeys, creative works, and meaningful collaborations. It exists to share stories, lessons, and artistic milestones that continue to shape a generation of storytellers. By keeping the platform free and accessible, Pelikulove fosters a community grounded in generosity, learning, and connection.

Every visit, every engagement, keeps this time capsule alive — allowing shared experiences to continue inspiring others.

Visionary Filipino filmmaker, director, and producer advocating socially engaged storytelling. Founder and Chief Creative Producer of Erasto Films (2005) and Pelikulove (2016).

Lakambini Gregoria De Jesus tells the story of a heroine, beloved by revolutionaries Andres Bonifacio and Julio Nakpil, yet often unrecognized in Philippine history. Like her unfinished quest for justice, this meta docufiction mirrors the filmmakers’ struggle to reclaim the legacy of a forgotten heroine.

The Community Behind Pelikulove

Pelikulove extends its deep appreciation to the many OJT interns and volunteers whose dedication and creativity have helped shape its journey. Their hard work and commitment have played a vital role in building projects, strengthening the community, and reaching meaningful milestones along the way. Each contribution has helped move Pelikulove forward and expand what is possible through collaboration and shared purpose.

Their efforts remain an important part of Pelikulove’s story, continuing a tradition of learning, creativity, and generosity that will inspire future interns and volunteers.

“Sir Ricky, because of you I finally realized that the writing world is the world I want to spend the rest of my life in. This is my purpose.

As a first time Ricky Lee workshopper in Pelikulove, I can say the whole community is very welcoming and kind to one another. Makikita mo na everyone cares about their fellow writers.”

Jose Mojica
College Lecturer

“What makes this different is the Filipinoness, truly for Filipino writers.

The exercises are also very useful because they compel student writers to think differently, to explore possibilities. I’d continue doing the given exercises because they’re also useful for my other writing (script and fiction).”

“This course is probably worth P5,000 and up just for the video lessons and handouts.

I know it’s worth more because you’ll really learn a lot. Actually, it will inspire you to just start writing. It reminded me of all the things I love about theater.”

Christine Marie Magpile, LPT
University Research Associate II

“I congratulate Prof. Joel David and the organizers of Pelikulove for offering this Masterclass. Kindly support their other classes and courses such as scriptwriting.

Surely, participants will learn a lot from well-respected professors-scholars and distinguished directors.”

“Grabe, napakasustansya po ng workshop na ito.

Ako bilang bulag ay nag-enjoy sa workshop na ito,

natutunan ang […] mga techniques sa paggawa ng isang tauhan […] at tignan ang isang istorya sa napakaraming perspektibo. Maraming salamat po sir Ricky Lee.”

Nastassja Ariele C. Braceros
Student

I’ve learned a lot that isn’t taught before and learned new unfamiliar terminologies related to writing. I could definitely use the lessons discussed in the workshop on my course and in the future.

It was a pleasant experience exchanging ideas and techniques with people I haven’t met before and I can say that it was one of the greatest experiences I ever had.
