Trailer & Synopsis

Losing his ability to speak after being beaten by his father, 7-year-old Onyok (Julian Duque) is brought to a children’s shelter run by the saintly Amanda (Cherry Pie Picache,”Foster Child”). Staying nearby is her brother, Ariel (Coke Bolipata), a concert violinist traumatized by the death of his girlfriend (Meryll Soriano). Drawn to the sound of Ariel’s playing, the boy takes supervised lessons and reveals an extraordinary gift for the instrument.  A lovely friendship grows between Onyok and plucky girl Shirley (Tala Santos), and by the poignant rehabilitation of the boy’s father (Ricky Davao, “The Kite”).

“BOSES echoes a call for the protection and promotion of children’s rights…It also thumbs through matters concerning women such as migration and girl child abuse. PCW supports the advocacies being reflected in “BOSES” as the Commission believes that children’s rights should be promoted, protected and fulfilled. No child, whether boy or girl, deserves discrimination and violence.”
Philippine Commission on Women

“We believe that by helping films like “BOSES” gain traction…we are starting a trend towards positive, educational, independent films into mainstream.
