Rica Arevalo

Rica Arevalo graduated with a degree of Communication Arts from De La Salle University. She has worked in the film industry for over 20 years, taking in the role of director, animator, producer, writer, and everything in between. She earned her Carlos Palanca Award for Literature and a Cinemalaya Best Direction Award for her work on the film ICU Bed #7 (2005), which she directed, wrote, and produced. She also produced the award-winning musical film, Saan Nagtatago si Happiness? (2003). Her other notable works include the full-length film Ganap na Babae (2010) which she co-directed with fellow FilmmakeHERs Ellen Ramos and Sarah Roxas, and The Privileged Migrants (2013), a documentary.
