Virgin Labfest (VLF) 16

The VLF is an annual festival of unpublished, unstaged, untried, and untested works for the stage that is held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. As its audience continues to grow, VLF gets even bigger in 2020 as it is slated for the whole month of June at CCP’s new Black Box Theater. 70th Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature

The Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature is the longest-running, and acclaimed as the most prestigious literary contest in the country. Annually, they accept submissions of literary works, including One-act plays and Full-length plays. Interested writers may send printed copies of their entries to the Carlos Palanca Foundation office. The foundation does not accept online or email submissions for any category. If you are interested to join, stay tuned for updates on the call for submissions for 2020.
Scribe Playwriting Competition
Deadline: March 7, 2020
Scribe Playwriting Competition invites playwrights from around the world to submit new full length and one-act plays or musicals. The winners of the competition will stage a live reading in front of an audience and will receive the newly founded prestigious Marsha Ann Croyle Award for Outstanding Achievement in Playwriting. Submission fee is $14.99 for One-Act submissions (20-59 pages) and $19.99 for Full length submissions (60+ pages)
